Emmett Jonathan Bush

Its a boy! Emmett Jonathan Bush was born October 2nd at 7:21pm. I went in for an appointment and my midwife stripped membranes. I was already 5cm almost 6. After the strip we went walking and I thought I was having contractions but they only felt like the braxtons. We went in anyways and they admitted me to labor and delivery. At 6:30 my midwife checked me and I was already 8cm! She went ahead and broke my water and things went very fast after that. I got to go all natural again with no pain relief. I used the shower and got to stand during contractions and Jonathan was an excellent coach. I had lots of support from the staff and midwife too. I pushed for 15 minutes and there he was. He got to stay on my chest for a good ten minutes before they took him for check up. It was beautiful, Jonathan said "Its a boy!" and we are in love with him and our family. We are so blessed for such a healthy little boy, he weighed 8 lbs 10 oz and 21 inches long.

Harvest Time!

We had our first little freeze so we decided it was time to harvest all we could from our garden. We got lots of corn and we all picked the pumpkins. We got 34 pumpkins this year! The kids had a blast and so did Jonathan and I. We got some big ones this year and we can't wait to carve them. But for now they will sit in my dining room by the sliding glass door so they can orange up in the sun. Now that we have picked the pumpkins, I am REALLY ready for the baby to come! I told Autumn that when the pumpkins are ready to pick then the baby would be ready to come. So I hope it is soon! I am almost 39 weeks and I don't know if I want to wait much more than that :)

37 Weeks and end of Summer

We are at the end of summer but I am ready for the fall. No more hot days! The kids have been busy keeping me busy while Jonathan was gone for a couple of weeks. Top picture they are enjoying some icecream from wendys and the middle picture, Hunter and daddy doing some work in the tractor before he left for an archery season. But thankfully he is back now from his weeks of outfitting. He isn't done for good by any means but he has to stay close and within cell phone range now. I am finally 37 weeks full term! I would prefer this bub to stay put for at least another week to cook some more. I have been so busy with kids and stuff that it has not hit me yet that we will have three children. Now that the hubby is back, I think I will be able to prepare myself mentally for it.

Boy or Girl?

35 weeks, Is it a boy or girl? Now that this pregnancy is coming to a close I am wondering more and more what gender this bub has been for the last 9 months! We love our names we have for either gender. It won't be long til we know who it is! I am getting bigger and measuring big too. I am still cleaning like crazy, and unswept floors drive me bonkers. I am losing my energy but I am able to keep up with the kids and cleaning so far. I need to can some peaches soon and do a few more projects around the house. Jonathan is starting the hunting so he isn't around for days at a time, which is very hard some days especially at night when I can't sleep but have no one to talk to. But he won't be going far once I hit 37 weeks until the baby is born.

Autumn has been a good helper most of the time and mature. Although she has her emotional breakdowns which can be very trying. But she still helps most of the time rather than hinder. Hunter is a crazy man. There are no words to describe his naughty cuteness. The summer is coming to a close. I am starting to bake pumpkin pies, look for fall and halloween decorations and watch hunting videos :) Our pumpkins are getting bigger in the garden. Autumn knows that when the pumpkins are ready to pick, then the baby will be ready to come out :) Falls are so fun, even though it is the busiest time of year, there are always things to look forward to. Especially this year.

33 Weeks

Made it to 33 weeks. Feeling good as long as I do my walks so my feet don't swell :) I still have ankles!! By this point with my pregnancy with Hunter, I was swollen in my face, feet and hands. Not so much water retention with this one. Hospital bag is packed, baby car seat washed, and baby blanket made so we are almost ready. Nesting and cleaning are at a all time high.

In other news, Jonathan has been doing some hay and starting to get ready for outfitting this hunting season. We are trying to get our ducks all lined up so we are ready for this hectic fall coming. With all thats gonna happen, outfitting, round up, and new baby.....we will be some busy people.
Autumn and Hunter are growing like weeds and they are enjoying playing together. They keep me busy but are old enough that mommy actually has been able to get a break because they play together so well. I am enjoying that Hunter is two and it is better spacing between him and this baby. Its amazing what a few extra months will do.

5 Year Anniversary and Hunter's 2nd Birthday

Our actual anniversary was on the 19th of July. But we celebrated later by going on a little vacation to Grand Junction and Blue Mesa without the kids. It was really hot, like 106 degrees around 2pm. But we had a blast being by ourselves. We got to go salmon fishing at Blue Mesa which was so fun and relaxing. I am 30 weeks in the picture of me and Jonathan with the fish (and yes I have hair blowing in the poor mans face). For Hunter's 2nd birthday we had quite the day. First we made him pancakes and bacon (his favorite breakfast) then we went to splashland with some friends. The kids really liked it and I think they are turning into fish :) So after swimming and lunch we went home and deep cleaned the house . Which I am grateful that Jonathan was so willing to help me with since even the little chores are starting to get hard as this pregnancy progresses. Anyways, then I made Hunter's favorite dinner, honey glazed chicken, rice and green beans. After dinner we had family over for cake and icecream. I went ahead and did a sports theme and made him a baseball and basketball cake. Hunter loved all his presents especially since a lot of them were various kinds of balls :) My little 2 year old. I can't believe it. We have been blessed to have this little cutie for 2 years but it seems like just yesterday we were in shock at the ultrasound that told us we were going to have a boy. We love him so much.

This little Baby

Here I am 25 weeks and 4 days. I find myself feeling huge one day and then not so big other days. But on most days I am sweltering in the heat. But this little pumpkin is worth it. I keep looking at Autumn and Hunter's baby pictures and wondering what this one is going to look like. Yeesh, I don't even know if its a boy or a girl so I can't even compare lol. And I still have no feeling towards one gender or the other. Oh well, the kicks and wiggles are fun right now and not too big yet. I crave watermelon and raspberries or fruit in general. Autumn wants a sister but still thinks its a boy, she has started to carry her toy baby around with her everywhere so at least she is excited. Hunter likes to kiss my belly and the "baby" but I am sure he doesn't really understand. The kids and I stay busy watering our garden, trees, lilac bush and lawn amongst other things.

20 week Ultrasound

We managed to not find out the gender of our little one. It does feel weird that now we have to wait another 20 weeks to see if its a boy or girl. But baby is very healthy and measuring big. We are soooo happy, over the moon happy. Its kind of a shock to think now we will have three kids. Where has the time gone? Autumn is such a big girl and helper, and Hunter tries to do everything his sister does. They are still so young though and we can't imagine life without their sweet spirits. These are the "good days" every one talks about. Appreciating children when they are young like this and capturing every moment with them.

Almost Half way There!

Going on 19 weeks and excited! We have our 20 week ultrasound on the 16th. And we are not finding out the gender. It will be different this time not knowing until the baby is born but I think it will make it fun too! I have no guesses or feelings about one gender or the other so it will be quite the surprise for us either way :) Baby moves a lot which is nice so I don't have the stress quite so much. Autumn tells anyone who will listen that there is a baby in mommy's tummy and it is growing and getting bigger and when it gets big enough it will come out and play lol.

New Happenings

A lot has happened this last month, snow storms, stomach bugs, colds, naughty cow break outs and it keeps us all pretty busy just doing the feeding. But it is fun and the kids and I love going with Jonathan every where we can. The biggest thing I suppose though is us finally letting people know we are having another baby. Morning sickness is over, thank goodness! And the second trimester is treating me well :) We found out around my birthday that we were expecting and it got kind of crazy the next week at the doctors office doing blood tests. I was on progesterone for 12 weeks (which made my morning sickness worse) but it was very worth it and we can't wait for our 20 week ultrasound next month. I had some early ultrasounds to see our little bean and heartbeat but I really like the 20 week one. We are very excited for this baby due october 4th. Jonathan and I knew our chances of having a fall baby but after our difficulty last year we knew this was what was meant to be and we both know everything will turn out okay during all the outfitting business and cattle roundups. We are mostly just thankful and excited that this baby is healthy!! Autumn is really excited, more than I thought she would be. She talks about the baby all the time. Hunter not so much since he knows but doesn't see how its going to effect him, but thats understandable. Anyways, thats the update from this part of the world :)

Helper

Autumn has been a big helper lately. She bandages daddy's head with princess bandaids and tries to change Hunters bum (mostly she just brings the diaper and wipes). I don't know why but all of a sudden its very important to her to do all these things. I guess thats just my little girl growing up and I am all of a sudden very aware and grateful that I had a girl first to be the babysitter and caretaker of younger brother and someday, future siblings. We also had a snow day recently, Jonathan took the time from work to play with us and we all built a snowman together. Its been a pretty good month.

Morning suprises

Jonathan and I watched the sunrise the other morning, it was so beautiful. Looking forward to many more pretty sunrises and sunsets with my honey.
The bottom picture, the kids stuck their toy animals in the cereal bag. When I went to pour Hunter's cereal, out came the these ducks! They were so cute sitting in the cereal bowl I had to take a picture...we had been wondering where those ducks went.....

Poem

A lady I know wrote this poem for me, it is so beautiful and she has been such a help during this time.

My Dear Friend My heart it aches so deep for you
it dropped when I read your news
I have been through tht heartache too
I have made it through those blues.
At first I did get frightened,
what if it happens to me too?
And as I walked, admired the trees,
my thoughts came back to you.
As I am walking freely,
you are crying deep
you have lost a part of you
as your little one does sleep.
How I wish I knew
How to take it all away,
how are you going to get through
each and everyday?
I don't know if you believe in God
If you don't its ok
I hope that you wont mind
if I send you loving prayers anyway.
Know that this is not your fault
there's nothing you have done
sometimes the rain does pour
we lose sight of the sun.
I know that you are hurting
in a way you never known
I hope you know we love you
and that you are not alone.
As I try to sleep tonight
you will be in my thoughts and prayer
I am so sorry my friend
I love you
