Walkin Boy

This last camping trip up to the mountains Hunter learned to walk. He is only 10 and half months old so that is impressive. He keeps getting better and better and walks longer every day. He LOVES to carry things around. Walking will keep him occupied for a little while, then on to running. I am in love with this little guy he follows me everywhere when we are at home. He loves it when I pick him up and dance with him. And he loves to "wrestle" Autumn. And he is so ticklish. I hardly have to touch him and he just giggles and giggles. On the tough side, he is getting stubborn and he throws nice fits when he doesn't get what he wants. He is getting some top teeth soon I think which is hard for him since my kids do not teeth well. Anyways they grow up so fast. Autumn especially since she is so tall for her age and learns quickly. I can't think about them growing up so fast much because I get all depressed. But I will enjoy them in every stage and soak it all in.

Fathers Day 2012

For Fathers Day we went to platoro again and went fishing. The weather was a lot nicer this time and we caught fish!! We caught fish in the evening and then ate some soup, chili and chips. We slept in our tent and early the next morning (this morning actually :)) we went down to try for some more fish. Jonathan and I were not having much luck. We were not even paying attention to Autumn. Jonathan gave her a pole, bobber and some fish eggs on a hook. I let her have ten feet of string so she could put the bobber in the water. I went to go talk to Jonathan a little ways down the shore and we heard some splashing. And there was Autumn, reeling in a fish! All by herself! I ran to go help her but she had it on shore by the time I got to her and she was saying "Lookie!!! I got a fish!" She is a natural outdoorswoman. She has a good eye for stuff too. When we drove back home she spotted a deer and some ducks before we could see them. We had so much fun and we can't wait to do it again.

My fishing pole story: After we fished in the evening we hid our poles by the water so we didn't have to pack them so far and we knew we would be the first by the water in the morning. But this morning when we went down we were missing my pole. Jonathan had left a fly and hook 6 inches in the water from the shore. And a fish decided to be very brave and take the fly and my pole! It was pretty funny. Luckily, my pole broke the day before and wasn't working very good so we were not too terribly sad. We just never thought a fish would go for that fly soo close to shore.

Sand Dunes

Well we have been camping most of the summer and busy busy busy, so the day after we get home from the mountains we decide to go to the sand dunes for some fun. Autumn calls the sand dunes "icecream" the water had run out but we still had a lot of fun. Autumn like always runs and runs and runs, and Hunter loved digging in the sand like we were. But let me tell you the truth, I was and am exhausted from every thing we have done thus far. So after the sand dunes Jonathan went to the mountains again and I stayed home for some much needed rest. I get to take care of my garden for a day. We planted pole beans on the one side of our chain link fence and they look fantastic. And I finally saw some morning glory sprouts yesterday. But I am afraid I am just not sure most of my flowers made it. Boo :( but oh well. Today I would like to weed my yard just to see how much the grass is spreading. Most of the grass plugs are alive although it still looks bare in some parts. I wish I had a whole month to rest, but I just can't convince myself that I need to stay home when I can go with Jonathan and the kids and make some memories. This weekend for fathers day we are going to go camping and fishing. We do love to fish!!

Fixing Fence and a Bear

On tuesday we went up to go fix fence. I spotted a bear from our truck and we jumped out to take pictures and ended up super close. The bear was a yearling that was tagged so we assume it was a relocated trouble bear. No we were not worried about getting so close. It was the size of a dog. Anyways that was pretty cool. We had some fun at camp. Hunter played in a box and I just love his cheesy grin. And Autumn loved our tent. She is a true camper. Thata girl :) She and Jonathan fixed 3 miles of fence together and walked the whole way. My kids are troopers. It was a lot of fun and we can't wait to do it again....which will probably be next week lol

Bringing Cows to The Lease

This is our trip to the Lease. We took the cows up last week. It was alot of fun. It was fun to goof off with Rachael and Jonathan and chase cows. After we got the cows to where they belong we ate some lunch. We brought up our grill and cooked hamburgers and beans. It was so good! Autumn and Hunter had a lot of fun and by the time we went home they were pretty tired. Sorry the pictures are out of order.

Mountains

We are busy people lately. We have been loading cows, chasing cows, and fixing fence. EVERY WHERE. I am tired to the bone, but we have been having alot of fun. The top three pictures are of the trip we took a couple days ago to fix the fence(we went fishing of course), and the one of Jonathan on Chico is when we took cows to the Brazos.
