36 Weeks Pregnant, Bye Bye Ankles!

Well first off I finished the baby blanket! And it looks amazing if I do say so. And I got the hospital bag all packed and carseat all ready so we are good to go finally! And the other thing is I have no ankles anymore. I have been walking 2 miles every day and drinking a lot of water but according to my midwife I just don't put my feet up enough and I am gaining water weight rapidly and it is causing a lot of problems. There is a lot of fluid in my joints so I have to moan and groan every time I move and my fingers all feel dislocated. I also get carpel tunnel real bad. But as long as my blood pressure remains normal and I am not seeing spots then I can remain pregnant for another few weeks :) I just hope baby is growing happy and healthy and as long as she is comfortable then I can bear it. She is worth every ache and pain. We are almost there baby girl! I am so excited to meet this little lady and hold her safe and sound in my arms and be amazed at such a heavenly gift.

My Kids

I know there are a lot of pictures but I just love my kids!
Emmett (15 months) is a little monster boy running around and climbing everything and getting into anything. He can say words like "dada, mama, ball, more, thank you, please, eye, mooooo, and book" I forget he is still so young and he falls asleep in funny places at times I don't expect. And he cries whenever Jonathan goes out the door without him. He has found the joys of the outdoors and wants to be a part of everything!

Hunter (3 years) is growing up. The other day I told him he could watch a movie if he brought some wood in for me. He got the wagon and didn't get just one load of wood, he got three! And they were big loads! I couldn't believe how determined he was to be helpful and it just melted my heart to see his act of service, I was going to be happy with just a couple pieces of wood, one little load, but he kept going back for more and more.

Autumn(5 years) is quite the lady now. She can do most tasks I ask her to and will willingly help me out with Emmett and his needs. She made me the cutest presents for my birthday. A necklace with beads that write out "mom" on it and a picture of us hugging. She practices her writing and counting every day and is one smart cookie. We are learning to sing the Alphabet and is determined to keep up with impressing us every day with her drawings.

Ice Fishing

Been Ice fishing a lot! We have taken the kids a couple times and it sure it fun wrangling them inside a tent especially Emmett. For my 26th birthday we went ice fishing and we like to fish in style! We brought a card table and a game to play with hot chocolate and food :) Luckily we can fish and stay warm or this very pregnant lady wouldn't be out on the ice.

34 weeks with a Princess

Finally got some things checked off my list including, setting up our new pack and play, washing the carseat and washing all the baby girl clothes. One night I even made a special trip into town because it was bugging me that we had no newborn diapers. Still need to pack the hospital bag and sew the baby blanket. My last appointment to the midwife was disappointing. First thing my nurse and midwife said when they saw me was "Whoa....baby dropped didn't it? you look really low" whaaaaa? I am also retaining water at an alarming rate so we are watching for preeclamsia. We chalked it up to stress from my husband being gone and trying to deal with having another baby so soon. I measured 3 weeks ahead!!!!!! So I measured 37 weeks! I know it was probably just baby's position but I have never measured 3 weeks ahead before even with my three 8-9 lb babies I have had. So we will be trying to not let this baby come too early and try and get my swelling under control because I still have at least another month. Bring on the walks and water and no stress! I knew this little girl would be a drama queen :) I have started calling her "your highness" lol

New Year 2015

New years, had a bit of snow that melted off of course. Emmett didn't make it again and fell asleep in his highchair poor little man.  And I went back to blond :) It feels good to be back to how I usually am besides all the pregnancy weight ha ha. Now that it is January I can officially say we are having a baby next month. So I got my list out and I am going to have to start really buckling down and get things done. I got my pantry cleaned out today and that was a major project so that felt really good to get done. It was bugging me all the clutter! We all have nasty colds,  especially the kids right now. I am very antsy and try to get out and walk or go feed the cows with Jonathan whenever I can or I just end up walking in circles in my house. He has to go to sacramento for a week starting tomorrow and I am so nervous about him being gone. I hope we can all survive the week and it will go fast. I have a feeling a lot of tears will be shed from both me and the kids lol. At least we have cell phones and Skype.

Christmas 2014

Here is my Christmas photo dump. Christmas eve we went sledding. The kids cried the whole time and it was hard to get them to go out in the snow at all. But they enjoyed chili and hot chocolate in the van while we watched frosty the snowman. Then we went home and did our christmas eve traditions. We took a car ride and looked at christmas lights in town, picked up pizza and had our eggnog and dinner. Then we sang happy birthday to Jesus and had a piece of cake. Finally we read the christmas story and put the kids to bed. Jonathan had to set up Emmett's present, a John deere tractor toy, who knew there were so many parts!? It took like 2 hours to put together. But it was worth it, they all love the tractor. We all got spoiled. We had a nice dinner at Jonathan's parents and then came home to play some games with the kids. Emmett didn't make it past 6 though and fell asleep in his highchair. He tried so hard to stay awake and was eating his cookie with his eyes closed ha ha! It was so cute.

Entertainment Center to Kitchen

For Christmas this year Jonathan and I tried to save some money and do something special for the kids. We took our old entertainment center and made it into a kitchen set for the kids. We did some cutting, drilling and painting. We tried to make it heavy duty so it will last years and years and we were very pleased with how it turned out. We bought wood food sets and heavy felt food sets and metal pots and pans to go with their kitchen too.
