Gone Fish'n

We went fishing a couple days ago. It was alot of fun and it was such a nice day. We didn't catch any fish but we had fun anyways. The second picture is actually of Jonathan and Autumn during our trip to the mountains the day before we went fishing. Autumn loved throwing rocks into the river while daddy fished and I took pictures and enjoyed the weather.

Easter and Cowgirl

Autumn enjoyed Easter and wore a pretty pink dress that Grandma Bush got for her. We had to pose with her but we just didn't look at cute as she did. And nobody wears daddy's boots like she does or sits a saddle so well.

Branding and Tank

Yesterday we branded calves. It was quite the party with our senior field study students, the missionaries, and the family. When I took Autumn out to see the happenings at the barn she got pretty scared, that is why she doesn't look happy in the picture with Jonathan. But they are so cute, daddy and daughter. As for our percheron draft horse, Tank has grown even more this winter and the picture with Katie on him really shows how big he is. We all had to hop on him and take a ride, even me baby belly and all. It was so fun I hope to take another ride today because we are branding again.

A Name

Every parent knows what I am talking about when I say we are having a hard time picking a name for our baby. In this case our baby boy. It shouldn't be so hard right? We always knew we wanted boys and yes we talked about names we liked even before we became pregnant the first time. This baby has thrown us for a loop however. I think part of it is that we thought we were having another girl and I still have to remind myself that, no indeed, that ultrasound picture is without doubt showing a little boy!
But when we pick names for our children, we want them to be perfect. To have meaning. Jonathan and I especially love the outdoors and would love to engrain that on our children, even if it means giving them an outdoorsey name. Autumn was easy, its not a real common name, its pretty and we love the fall.
But an outdoorsey boy name, that is not so easy. So the search goes on and on. The perfect name hasn't come yet and I am over half way through with this pregnancy. He is coming in less than 4 months! I have heard stories of parents who didn't really even pick a name until right before the baby was born or even after! I am afraid I like to plan a little bit more than that. I like to know as far ahead of time as I can for any event. I feel like I need a name for him so I can start calling him by it and so the excitment of meeting him can fill my mind and extra time. I would love Autumn to know her baby brother's name too.
So on goes the search.

Adventures of Autumn

Well here are some more pictures. Autumn eating lunch. Autumn in her bubble bath and Autumn eating breakfast this morning. Don't you love her bed head? And finally, Autumn took a pony ride with Grandma Bush. Aunt Katie and cousin Robert are on the other horse. Life is good.

Our Home

Today was a very good day. Our electricity has been here since last friday but today was our first day all day at home just Autumn and me. We had a big family breakfast together this morning first thing complete with french toast, sausage and orange juice. Daddy went to work and Autumn and I cleaned and folded laundry. Daddy came home for lunch and we love to see daddy. After Autumn's nap she sat on the couch and had a snack and milk. Then we baked cookies! Finally daddy can look in the cookie jar and find something! She is such a good helper and helped me with everything today. The pictures just tell and say what we did today. There is still so much to do living in a new house so we will stay busy for sure for days to come!
