Fish'n at Horseshoe Lake

This weekend we went up to Horseshoe Lake by Yellowstone and went fishing! We packed up early in the morning on Saturday and headed off to the lake. We brought all our camping gear. But soon on arrival to the lake we discovered those darn skeeters were too much for us. So we decided against spending the night but we still fished. The night before we left Jonathan stayed up all night to make us a fish net so we could get them fish out of the water quicker. He did a really good job and the net worked great. All we caught were rainbow trout but we caught our limit of 6 and that was good enough for us.
We ate 3 of the trout yesterday and boy they were good!

It was such a nice sunny day except I got sunburned on my face and hands. The funny thing was I had a hair tie on my wrist and my sunburn around it left it super white. Ah well, I hope it fades.

Here is my man, King of the Lake sitting on this mighty boulder awaiting to snag them poor yummy fishes that go after that lure.

3rd Doctors Visit

Week 17 and one day.

We went in for our 3rd visit to the doctor. The baby's heartbeat was 158 and doing good. And our next visit is set for the 20th of July and we are going to find out then if we are having a boy or girl. So that is pretty exciting! And today we also found out that we are receiving Medicaid, thank heavens. It is nice to know there are programs out there to help people in times of need.

First Kicks!

For a week 1/2 now I have the confidence to say that I am actually feeling our baby kick and move. And since I know what it feels like now, I feel them all the time. Once the baby was going crazy and kicking up a storm so I called for Jonathan to come put his hands on my belly. We were delighted that Jonathan was able to feel about 4 strong taps. His eyes got all big and he was like "OH...its a boy I know its a boy! Only boys kick like that. Its a strong little feller." He was mostly kidding though because we don't care what we have. But it was funny. Also if we concentrate long enough and stare at my belly sometimes we can SEE little movements when he or she bounces or kicks. It is so exciting to know our little baby is in there and having a good time. We already love it so much.

Washington Trip and Thoughts

I flew up to Washington Sunday, May 24th. It was so hard to say goodbye to my honey. My eyes were all watery and everyone stared at me like I was pathetic. What can I say? I love Jonathan. So my mom and siblings came to spokane to pick me up when I flew in. Oh man, I got in the car and we drove for 5 minutes and I threw up. My ma thought I was joking when I asked for a bag. Lol. I think the flight made me sick along with being pregnant. My mom went in for her surgery on tuesday and is at home now recovering. By the way the reason I came up to Washington was to help my family out whilst my mom recovers. And Charity is graduating this saturday so Jonathan is driving up from Rexburg to partake in the festivities and to take me home on sunday. We will have been apart for two weeks and I am ready to once again have his bear hugs at my convienience. It's funny how getting married can change your life so dramatically. Like when I'm with my washington family I miss my colorado family and when I'm with my colorado family I miss my Washington family. Its funny how I've becomed attached to another family. To bad our families don't live closer but it makes me appreciate them more when I get to spend some time with them. I love them all!

2nd Baby Appointment

So Jonathan and I went in for our second appointment today. I am 13 weeks and 1 day along and finally in the 2nd trimester!!!! My morning sickness is pretty much gone and my energy levels are up. Sometimes I feel like I can climb a mountain! The baby's heart beat is 156, strong and normal. And my blood results came back and the doctor said he was impressed. Apparently I am very healthy. He asked "Do you live here in Rexburg?"We were like, "Ya..." And the Doctor was like "Hmm... they usually don't come this high in iron around here..."
So Jonathan and I are very proud of ourselves for being healthy. I did lose some weight from being sick but the doctor said that was okay and that I will start gaining some pounds soon. My tummy is starting to push out a bit. So when I wear a t-shirt it looks like I ate ten donuts...okay 20 donuts...so I am showing a little. According to my baby updates on the internet our baby is 3 inches long. It can suck its thumb and make faces and bounce around using little arms and legs. All of this happening in me and I can't even feel it yet! Oh well, sooner or later our little boy or girl will be keeping me awake with kicks and punches. FYI- Jonathan still thinks its a boy. And for the sake of the female gender I say its a girl. But I don't care what it is as long as it is healthy and strong. And we are going to keep it a surprise until the delivery room. That will be something else to look forward to.

Jonathan and his friend Liji have been building this one room house for the Cook family. It took them two weeks to get this far on the building and it looks great. Jonathan is glad for the practice, he told me, because it will get him ready to build our home when the time comes.

This is me in all my Morning Sickness glory. Jonathan was kind enough to take a picture. He is still a darling though.
